To the Trade
Made by hand.
Made to your vision.
A trade program for designers, stylists, and spaces built slowly — handmade ceramics shaped for the rooms you're creating.
A one-woman studio with fifteen years of hand-built work behind it. Every piece is designed, glazed, and fired by Meli in North Carolina — so the ceramics in your project carry a real maker's hand, not a warehouse's.

Selected Work
What we can make together
From a single sculptural object to a cohesive collection, the studio is built for considered, made-to-order work — at the scale and finish your project calls for.

The Maker
Made by one pair of hands
Muddy Heart is Meli — designer, maker, glazer, and the person who answers your email. Fifteen years in, every piece still passes through her hands alone. When you partner with the studio, you work directly with the maker, from first sketch to final firing.
